A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Exploring Empathy and Connection
My research interests are united by a personal and professional interest in understanding the experience of another person, including how counselors can effectively and competently work with clients across cultural divides (particularly those of race/ethnicity, gender and sexual identity, and values conflicts). My research aims to address limitations of previous empathy research, with a specific focus on empathy as a skill for cultural competency and effectiveness across varied counselor and client identities.
